On the evening of June 28th we will be kicking off the 2012 edition of the Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Race with the Launch Party on the Square in Canton. Following on Friday morning will be the Media Flight (weather permitting, of course). Then the festivities continue with the Celebrate America Balloon Glow in Ridgeland on Friday evening and finishing up with competition flights on Saturday and Sunday mornings with the Canton Balloon Glow on Saturday evening. Our next regular meeting will be 6:00pm Tuesday evening, May 1st, 2012 at Tequila's Mexican Restaurant located on Old Canton Road next to the Kroger on Lake Harbor Drive (the old Albertson's store).

The Balloon Federation of America (BFA) is looking for Mentors (and members) for their Junior Balloonists camp. This program provides an opportunity for interested balloonists between 13 and 18 to participate in a great balloon educational opportunity. If you are interested in participating as a Mentor or as a Junior Balloonist, or if you would like to make a contribution to the club for a club scholarship, just get in touch with us and we will try to help it happen for you.
