JULY 4th Weekend is HERE!!!
And so is the
Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Festival!!!
You all are invited to come join us celebrate the 4th of July. Click HERE for a schedule of events for this weekend. If you want to get up close and personal with a hot air balloon, come out and join us for the festivities.
The location of our event includes flights in Canton at the Multi-purpose Building (just west of I-55 at the Nissan Parkway on Industrial Drive). Those flights will be on Friday morning (Media Flight), Saturday morning, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning. See the schedule for specific times. Also, we will be at Northpark Mall on Friday evening for the Celebrate America Balloon Glow.
Come join us at our regular meetings. We usually meet the 1st Tuesday of each month. The meetings begin about 6:30pm. The July meeting will be during the Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Fest. We will resume our normal meetings in August on the 4th at 6:30. The location has not been determined at this time. Check back in July for that information.

The Balloon Federation of America (BFA) is also looking for Mentors (and members) for their Junior Balloonists camp. The dates for this year's camp are July 12-16 for the Texas location, and July 19-23 for the Michigan location. The cost for a student to attend is $395 and scholarships may be available. This program provides an opportunity for interested balloonists between 13 and 18 to participate in a great balloon educational opportunity. If you are interested in participating as a Mentor or as a Junior Balloonist, or if you woud like to make a contribution to the club for a club scholarship, just get in touch with us and we will try to help it happen for you.
